I picked up my EV tester — a 2025 Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo — in New York City for a trip to Raleigh, N.C., this fall to attend Luftgekühlt , a celebration of air-cooled Porsche ( P911.DE ) sports cars. Yes, driving an EV to the event is a bit, shall we say, antithetical. With a fully-charged battery I began the first part of the trek to Bethesda, Md., to stay at a friend's place. New York to Bethesda is around 230 miles and took around five hours to complete.
