Analyst Chris Pierce said consistent enthusiasm for second-half gross margin accretion and OPEX leverage were the firm's biggest positive takeaways from the meeting. Needham walked away with less near-term uncertainty about the ChargePoint ( CHPT ) business. "CHPT flagged their recently announced partnership with Acbel as a driver of both gross margin and OPEX leverage, leaning on their new CEO's prior experience leveraging Asian manufacturing expertise to save on labor and logistics to drive higher gross margins vs their current manufacturing facilities in Mexico. New charging hardware will be jointly developed with Acbel, allowing CHPT to remove substantial engineering spend from OPEX as an additional benefit."
