Related news Comcast earnings fell from a year earlier but topped first-quarter estimates while revenue dropped less than expected as the coronavirus lockdown impacted NBCUniversal and Sky. Comcast stock rose as it added more broadband customers than forecast. The nation's biggest cable TV company said earnings per share fell 6% to 71 cents an adjusted share vs. a year earlier. Including the acquisition of U.K.-based Sky, Comcast ( CMCSA ) revenue slipped nearly 1% to $26.61 billion. A year earlier, Comcast earnings came in at 76 cents a share on sales of $27.2 billion. Analysts expected Comcast earnings of 68 cents a share on revenue of $26.75 billion for the period ended March 31. Comcast said it added 477,000 broadband customers, topping expectations, while losing 409,000 video subscribers.
