firm TRC Companies Inc. in a $3.3 billion all-cash transaction, with financial backing from its largest shareholder, Quebec's public pension fund. The deal, announced Monday, would see the Montreal-headquartered company buy the Windsor, Connecticut-based business from Warburg Pincus LLC, a move that management suggests could position WSP as the largest engineering and design firm in the United States as it continues to scale through acquisitions.
