Cortina Olympics . And the last chance for Mikaela Shiffrin to add to her medal collection. The slalom is Wednesday, Feb. 18. It's Shiffrin's best discipline – she won her first Olympic gold in the event, at the 2014 Games in Sochi – and she has dominated on the World Cup circuit. Of her 108 World Cup wins, a record for any skier, 71 have come in slalom. This season, Shiffrin has won seven of the eight World Cup slalom races and finished second in the other. She's been so dominant that she wrapped up her ninth season slalom title, a record for a single discipline, before the Olympics. The other medal contenders are Switzerland's Camille Rast, Albania's Lara Colturi and Germany's Emma Aicher.
