Oil prices mark another finish at their highest in 3 1/2 years Oil prices settled Monday at its highest since late November 2014, buoyed by growing expectations that the U.S. will impose more sanctions on Venezuela following what it referred to as a "sham" presidential election in the South American nation. Sanctions would likely hurt oil production in Venezuela, which has already been hit by the nation's economic crisis. June West Texas Intermediate crude CLM8, +1.57% rose 96 cents, or nearly 1.4%, to settle at $72.24 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
