The fast-casual restaurant chain said Wednesday that tariffs could increase its cost of sales by around 0.5% this year, potentially amounting to tens of millions of dollars in additional expenses. The broad 10% tariffs on its imports such as beef from Australia and avocados from Colombia and Peru are driving the estimated costs, along with aluminum imports and packaging from countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia, Chipotle said.
