For starters, since bringing Brian Niccol on board as CEO in early 2018 (from Taco Bell), the chain has been very intentional in ramping up its digital prowess, a fortuitous effort in retrospect as the pandemic forced businesses to shift to digitally-enabled off-premise channels in the blink of an eye.In fact, digital ordering, carryout, drive-thru and delivery are table stakes in this environment.
