Centene Corp. , a Medicaid managed care organization, said Wednesday it will help distribute 25,000 COVID-19 test kits per week that have been developed by Quest Diagnostics Inc. to federally qualified health centers, which are government-funded organizations that provide primary care in underserved communities. "Gaining access to COVID-19 tests has been a challenge," Dr. Michael Brooks, The Family Health Centers of Georgia's president and CEO, said in a news release. Quest has developed both molecular and antibody tests for COVID-19. Quest's stock was up 2.9% in premarket trading on Wednesday and is up 4.8% year-to-date. Shares of Centene, which wasn't active in premarket trading, were up 6.8% year-to-date. The S&P 500 has declined by 11.3% since the start of the year.
