liquefaction and export terminal on the Texas Gulf Coast, marking a key step toward a final investment decision on the project. Under the agreement, the two engineering firms will jointly develop the FEED for multiple large-scale liquefaction trains. If the project reaches a positive final investment decision, KBR and Técnicas Reunidas are expected to move directly into the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase. The facility is being designed around ConocoPhillips' Optimized Cascade® Process, a well-established LNG technology widely used in large export projects. Coastal Bend LNG says the configuration is intended to deliver cost-competitive LNG while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with growing demand from buyers for lower-carbon supply.
