The Campbell's Company announced it will move production of its Cape Cod and Kettle Brand chips out of Cape Cod and to its Hanover plant and two other sites. Close Thanks for signing up! Subscribe Now It comes after the company said it will close its plant in Hyannis, Massachusetts, the longtime headquarters for the brand and often referred to as the capital of the cape. The plant will end operations in April, leaving 49 employees without jobs. Hyannis only accounted for 4% of the brand's chip production, meaning there won't be any significant change at the Hanover plant, a company spokesperson said. Other parts of the production will move to plants in Beloit, Wisconsin, and Charlotte, North Carolina. The move will enable “a more agile and flexible manufacturing network while maintaining the tradition of using high-quality, carefully selected ingredients that define Cape Cod and Kettle Brand chips,” the company said.
