Nearly every leader at the highest-ranked workplaces in the Houston Chronicle's annual survey said they are in the process of adopting artificial intelligence into their workflows, drawn by the promise of increased efficiency and pushed by a fear of being left behind. "It's like any other innovation: you have to embrace it," said Ric Campo, CEO of Camden Property Trust, this year's No. 3 large workplace. Not doing so could risk following in the doomed footsteps of companies like Kodak or Blockbuster, he said. "If we hold on to old school thoughts and we don't adapt with the new environment, then we're probably toast."
