Carter's stock upgraded on potential same-store sales growth Carter's Inc. CRI, +3.99% a baby and young children's apparel maker, was upgraded to outperform from market perform at Wells Fargo on potential same-store sales growth. Analysts raised their price target to $145 from $123. Among the factors affecting Wells Fargo's positive view are prospects for improved wholesale performance and a "more rational" kids sector now that all of the 338 planned Gymboree closures have taken place. Key partners like Target Corp. TGT, -0.64% Kohl's Corp. KSS, -1.54% and J.C. Penney Co Inc. JCP, -3.49% have announced positive holiday results, meaning there could be an "inflection on the horizon in 2018," analysts wrote.
