Casino Reports Golden Nugget Casino owner Tilman Fertitta is considering buying Caesars Entertainment in what would be one of the biggest casino buyouts in years, according to a report in the Financial Times Fertitta, who owns the Houston Rockets and is currently the U.S. ambassador to Italy, is one of multiple parties who expressed “takeover interest,” the Financial Times reported Thursday . A management buyout was also one of the possible offers. The talks were described as ongoing, and “far from a foregone conclusion.” The report dramatically lifted Caesars' share price. Shares jumped by 19.1% to close at $24.74 Thursday, valuing the business at just over $5 billion and erasing the last month of losses. Both Caesars and Fertitta declined to comment on the potential deal to the Financial Times Caesars made almost $12 billion in revenue in 2025, but also has more than $20 billion in debt, including lease payments. Caesars reported its fourth-quarter results last week.
