DocGo slips as New York City moves to end migrant contract [Seeking Alpha]

The New York City Mayor's office said that the mobile health services provider's $432M no-bid migrant services contract will not be renewed before it expires on May 5. Instead, the officials plan to issue a competitive request to select a new provider by year-end. Their decision comes after media reports documented the alleged mistreatment of migrants at the hands of DocGo ( DCGO ). In September, the city comptroller's office criticized the contract awarding procedure that selected the company without a competitive bidding process. Until a new vendor is picked, DCGO will continue to provide care for migrants who were relocated upstate, while the officials will use an existing contract with Garner Environmental Services to serve migrants in New York City. A DocGo ( DCGO ) spokesperson said the company is "immensely proud of the exceptional work that our team has accomplished and continues to perform in aiding the City's response to this unprecedented crisis."
