A Texas-based tech company whose brand has stretched across the globe is once again shrinking its workforce . For the second year in a row, the Round Rock-born Dell Technologies has shrunk its workforce by about 10% as the company shifts its focus toward artificial intelligence. Dell has released its annual report for fiscal year 2026, revealing that its total workforce has declined by 11,000 employees, about 10% of its staff, according to a Reuters report . The company now employs around 97,000 employees as of January 31, compared to 108,000 workers one year ago. Founded in Round Rock in 1994, the nearly $100 billion company has been quietly cutting roles at numerous offices around the world for the past few years. Dell ended its remote and hybrid worker positions in 2025, informing all future employees they'd be required to work five days a week from a designated company office.
