Diageo plc (DEO)
US:NYSE Investor Relations: diageo.com/en/investors
Company Research Source: Forbes
The program showcases some of Diageo's rarest whiskies. They are offered on an invitation-only basis to members of Diego's Private Client service and a handful of select retailers, although interested parties can contact Diageo directly if they are interested in purchasing any of the whiskies. The term “prima” denotes that each expression represents a first for the whisky or the distillery, while the term “ultima” denotes that the whisky bottled represents the last available stock in Diageo's cask inventory. The current releases feature Brora, 1977; Clynelish, 1996; Lagavulin, 1997; Pittyvaich, 1992; Oban, 1996; Port Ellen, 1978; Singleton, 1985; and Talisker, 1976. Below are descriptions and tasting notes on the eight whisky expressions featured in this year's Prima & Ultima releases, based on samples generously provided by Diageo.
