The company purchased the three-story, 51,000-square-foot office building at 1000 Northchase Dr. Jan. 6. Built in 1988, the building is steps away from Dollar General's corporate headquarters in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The building last changed hands in 1990 for $2.8 million. "We can confirm we purchased the building to provide additional workspace to support our growth and in furtherance of our mission of Serving Others," a representative of the company said in an emailed statement. The popular discount retail chain is one of Middle Tennessee's largest public companies. It underwent a round of restructuring last year, eliminating about 60 roles in its corporate office.
