With eyes on digital growth, DHX Media to reorganize company into two subsidiaries DHX Media Ltd. will reorganize its company into two subsidiaries, reflecting differing priorities and regulatory constraints on its business. The announcement came on Tuesday as the Halifax-based producer of children’s media content reported lower results than expected in the second quarter. DHX chief executive and executive chair Michael Donovan called 219 a “year of investment and transition” for the company during a call with analysts on Tuesday, as it seeks to reduce debt, improve cash flow, grow its digital businesses and produce premium content. Story continues below advertisement After the reorganization, DHX will comprise one subsidiary for its production studios and TV business including the Family Channel, which is subject to regulatory requirements in Canada; and another for its global distribution and merchandising businesses as well as digital operations “with significant growth potential."
