Shares of Walt Disney Co. are down 1.2% in premarket trading Tuesday after Citi Research analyst Jason Bazinet lowered his target price on the stock to $135 from $161. He also reduced his 2020 estimates for adjusted earnings to $2.91 a share from $5.57 and cut his 2021 estimates to $5.18 from $6.14. "Prior to COVID-19, we expected the firm's leverage to fall back below 2x in late 2021," he wrote. "However, in light of the current disruption, we now expect Disney's gross leverage to peak a bit above 4x in fiscal 1Q21 before falling back ~2x by the end of 2022." He assumes the company won't buy back stock until fiscal 2023. Bazinet maintained a buy rating on the stock and write that "the impact of COVID-19 appears to be largely priced into the firm's equity." Disney shares have lost 29% over the past three months as the Dow Jones Industrial Average has fallen 19%.
