Ron DeSantis have reached a settlement in a dispute over Disney World's future development, and activist investor Nelson Peltz drew another endorsement in his campaign for Disney's board. A state court settlement will bring an end to almost two years of litigation around the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, the entity that provides municipal services to the giant theme park. That board was controlled by Disney supporters for decades before a takeover by DeSantis allies, and then a last-minute deal that transferred control over Disney World design and construction to Disney ( DIS The settlement clears a path for Disney and the new board to negotiate a new development deal soon. Elsewhere, Nelson Peltz's Trian Group won the backing of investment adviser Egan-Jones in Trian's campaign for two board seats at the company.
