On Feb. 3, following a three-year search, D'Amaro was named as Disney's next CEO, succeeding Bob Iger . He's been a key player at the company since 1998, rising through the ranks with high-profile leadership roles including president of Disneyland Resort, president of Walt Disney World Resort and, most recently, chairman of Disney Experiences. “Josh D'Amaro is an exceptional leader and the right person to become our next CEO,” Iger said in a statement . “He has an instinctive appreciation of the Disney brand, and a deep understanding of what resonates with our audiences, paired with the rigor and attention to detail required to deliver some of our most ambitious projects."
