ABC News reporter Brian Ross suspended for 4 weeks for erroneous Flynn report ABC News suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for four weeks without pay after an erroneous report that national security adviser Michael Flynn was prepared to testify that Donald Trump directed him to establish contact with Russian officials during his presidential campaign. The story, which caused the stock market to tumble Friday, was subsequently corrected by ABC News. “It was shortly after the election, that President-elect Trump directed Flynn to contact Russian officials on topics that included working jointly against ISIS,” the network said in a statement. Ross also corrected the report on Friday night’s edition of “World News Tonight.” In a statement issued Saturday, ABC News, a unit of Walt Disney Co.
