President Donald Trump announced a definitive merger agreement with a fusion power company called TAE Technologies on Dec. 18. Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social, Truth+, and Truth.Fi, holds 11,542 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at more than $1 billion at the time of writing, on its balance sheet. By partnering with Crypto.com, the company also ventured into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to cryptocurrencies, a Cronos (CRO)-focused crypto treasury , and a proposed prediction market. The latest all-stock transaction is valued at more than $6 billion and is expected to close in mid-2026. Following the closing of the deal, the combined company expects to site and commence construction of the first utility-scale fusion power plant in 2026.
