(Associated Press file photo) T-Mobile USA Inc. is laying off a group of Austin workers as it prepares to end accessibility functions at its North Austin call center. The telecom giant plans to cut 75 jobs tied to accessibility relay operations at its facility at 14205 N. MoPac Expressway, beginning June 8. Those operations support communication services for people with hearing or speech disabilities. Although those services will no longer operate at the Austin facility, the call center itself will remain open, according to a filing with the Texas Workforce Commission MORE: Texas Workforce Commission taps Steve Pier as next executive director The layoffs are expected to be permanent, and there are no bumping rights for affected employees, according to the filing.
