CLEVELAND, Aug. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Datatrak International, Inc. (OTC Markets: DTRK), a worldwide software-as-a-service provider and innovation leader of cloud-based technologies for the life sciences industry, today announced its operating results for the second quarter of 2019. Financial Highlights:Datatrak achieved its fifth consecutive quarter of profitability and saw an increase in backlog during the six months ended June 30, 2019. Revenue for the second quarter of 2019 was $1,884,000 compared to $1,931,000 for the second quarter of 2018. Direct costs increased $61,000 for the three months ended June 30, 2019 compared to the three months ended June 30, 2018 due to new employees hired in the third quarter of 2018. The Company's gross profit margin was 80% for the second quarter of 2019 compared to 83% for the second quarter of 2018.
