Battlefield 6 developer EA has reportedly laid off staff months after it became the best-selling game in the US in 2025. Notably, EA, short for Electronic Arts, laid off employees at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, which together form the Battlefield Studios . The decision to lay off employees is reportedly part of a “realignment” across Battlefield studios. EA has reportedly announced layoffs after record-breaking Battlefield 6 launch After a successful game launch, Battlefield 6 developer EA announced that they have laid off staff across various verticals. Notably, all four studios will remain operational. However, the layoffs have reportedly impacted teams and their daily functioning.
