Brinker International has promoted George Felix to executive vice president, chief marketing officer, from his previous role as senior vice president, chief marketing officer for the company's Chili's brand. In his elevated role, he will oversee strategy and execution of marketing programs and initiatives at both Chili's Grill & Bar and Maggiano's Little Italy. As part of the "Back to Maggiano's" strategy, he will focus on clarifying the brand's positioning and improving execution to drive stronger performance. He will continue to report to chief executive officer Kevin Hochman. Felix has served as CMO of Chili's since July 2022 . Since then, Chili's has generated a remarkable performance, including 19 straight quarters of same-store sales growth , largely driven by marketing campaigns such as the viral cheese pull to promote the Triple Dipper and the 3-for-Me and Big QP Burger promotions taking a swing at fast food prices.
