HELENA, Mont., April 28, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eagle Bancorp Montana, Inc. (NASDAQ: EBMT), (the “Company,” “Eagle”), the holding company of Opportunity Bank of Montana, today reported net income in the first quarter of 2020 increased substantially to $3.9 million, or $0.57 per diluted share, reflecting the high level of contributions from mortgage banking and gains from sale of loans. This compared to $1.2 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2019, and $2.3 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, in the preceding quarter. There were $128,000 in acquisition costs in the first quarter of 2020, compared to $505,000 in the preceding quarter, and $1.2 million in the first quarter a year ago. Eagle’s board of directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.095 per share on April 23, 2020. The dividend will be payable June 5, 2020 to shareholders of record May 15, 2020.
