Ecolab is investing $500 million to expand and upgrade its research and development campus in Eagan The St. Paul-based company, focused on water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, has applied for a $10 million grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, with plans to expand the 300,000-square-foot campus on Lone Oak Road by more than 82,000 square feet. That includes the addition of a new campus entryway and updates to chemistry labs, customer service areas, and state-of-the-art research and development facilities. Ecolab CEO Christophe Beck says the company is "creating what will become one of the most advanced research centers in the world for the development of infection prevention solutions, water technologies and digital capabilities."
