DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EMC Insurance Group Inc. (Nasdaq: EMCI) (“EMCI”) today announced that leading independent proxy advisory firm, Glass Lewis & Co. (“Glass Lewis”), joined Institutional Shareholder Services (“ISS”) in recommending that EMCI shareholders vote “FOR” Employers Mutual Casualty Company’s (“EMCC”) proposed acquisition of all of the shares of EMCI that EMCC does not already own. The EMCI Board of Directors, based on the unanimous recommendation of its Special Committee, recommends that EMCI minority shareholders vote “FOR” the proposal to approve the transaction, as described in more detail in the definitive proxy statement that was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 8, 2019. Each vote is very important, regardless of the number of shares owned.
