Shawn O'Connell, President and CEO, stated that "our performance in the second quarter was strong, with net sales up 8% year-over-year. Earnings growth outpaced revenue growth, driven by favorable price/mix more than offsetting higher costs, resulting in both adjusted Quick Insights Earnings growth is driven by favorable price/mix, cost-saving initiatives under the EnerGize framework, strong performance in Energy Systems, and operational efficiencies from centers of excellence. EnerSys is fully offsetting tariff exposure, pursuing cost reductions, improving supply chain management, and managing elevated lithium costs with expectations of future improvement as volumes ramp up. Management is confident in continued margin expansion, especially from cost-saving programs, expects ongoing growth in Energy Systems and Specialty segments, and forecasts pressure in Motive Power until volume recovery.
