Equinox Gold Corp. is ramping up two Canadian gold mines, positioning itself to become one of Canada's largest gold producers just as the price of the precious metal trades at all-time highs. The company, founded by renowned entrepreneur Ross Beaty, is on the cusp of producing one million ounces of gold annually underpinned by two new long-life cornerstone Canadian mines. The company's June 2025 merger with Calibre Mining increased production, but importantly added a second Canadian operation, the Valentine Mine in Newfoundland and Labrador. The company poured first gold at Valentine ahead of schedule and is now ramping up production at both Valentine and its Greenstone Mine in Ontario. Once both are operating at capacity, anticipated during 2026, Equinox Gold is projected to become the second-largest producer of Canadian gold.
