At the Prevent Blindness Annual Meeting, three new Board members were added, with former Board Chair Jim McGrann, Advancing Eyecare, honored as Board Emeritus Member CHICAGO Nov. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Prevent Blindness , the nation's leading patient advocacy organization dedicated to preventing blindness and preserving sight, has announced that Matt MacDonald, president and global head of managed care, EyeMed Vision Care , has been appointed Chair of the Prevent Blindness Board of Directors. The vote was held on Nov. 14, at the 2025 Prevent Blindness Annual Board Meeting in Chicago. MacDonald succeeds past Board Chair Jim McGrann, CEO of Advancing Eyecare , who was named as an Emeritus Member of the Board of Directors.
