The carrier that flies mainly in Europe said profit after tax climbed nine percent to £494 million ($648 million) in the 12 months to the end of September, compared with its previous financial year. "EasyJet holidays continues to perform strongly, achieving a profit-before-tax of £250 million," the company added in its earnings statement. Revenue from holidays jumped 27 percent to £1.44 billion in the latest reporting period. "EasyJet's full-year numbers landed slightly ahead of market expectations as the airline delivered another strong summer for sunseekers," noted Aarin Chiekrie, equity analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown.
