The benchmark rebounded after shedding 1.15% last week — its second consecutive weekly decline — amid waning momentum in AI-linked stocks and investor disappointment over Prime Minister Mark Carney's ?debut budget. The rally on Monday tracked ?gains in global equities after the U.S. Senate advanced a bipartisan bill to end the 40-day federal shutdown and fund the government through ?January 30.
