Ford, GM stocks have 'large upside potential,' says Deutsche Bank Deutsche Bank analyst Emmanuel Rosner initiated coverage of Ford Motor Co. F, +1.76% and General Motors Co. GM, +1.21% with buy ratings on Friday, writing that he sees "large upside potential" for the stocks given strong earnings and cash flow, a "favorable product cycle," and new efforts in mobility. "With Ford's stock breaching levels not seen since 2012, we believe its risk/reward now skews positively, with upside driven by potential announcements of large structural cost cuts, continued solid performance in North America trucks/SUVs, and positive value optionality from its efforts in mobility," Rosner wrote. On GM, he expects that the company's cost-saving efforts and "strong product cadence" will outweigh macro and industry headwinds. Rosner has a $12 price target on Ford shares, which are down 32% so far this year, and a $44 price target on GM's stock, which has slipped 14% on the year. The S&P 500 SPX, -0.
