There’s good news for buyers willing to look to the Midwest for its affordability factor. According to realtor.com’s July’s numbers based on listing views by market, the Midwest boasts four rankings on the July’s Hottest Housing Markets list. “The Midwestern markets are relatively affordable and very attractive to some buyers,” observes Danielle Hale, chief economist at realtor.com. “We see people looking at affordability wherever they can find it,” she adds. Though the list includes areas that may not ring a bell with Millennials and first-time buyers seeking a hipster urban lifestyle, they do offer affordability and good housing stock.
