Efforts to flood the market with Venezuelan oil are unlikely to materially depress prices or replace U.S. light oil. The cure for low prices is low prices. We are likely therefore setting the stage for a future period of much higher oil prices. The conservative budget here is a choice because the company does make money at some very low commodity prices.
