Buy Freeport McMoRan to Profit From Thawing U.S.-China Relations If you want to profit from a possible end to the U.S.-China trade war, then buy shares in U.S.-based copper miner Freeport McMoRan ( FCX Get Report "Freeport is a buy because I believe we get a China deal," said Adam Johnson, author of the financial newsletter Bullseye Brief He sees the stock going to $15, which would be almost 40% higher than the recent price of $10.91. The shares have underperformed over the last year as trade tensions hit the copper market and dogged Freeport stock. The shares lost 11.6% over the last 12-months, while the S&P 500 gained 12.4% over the same period. Both figures exclude dividends. But the recent lackluster performance could now be over.
