Why This Rally Made Sense: Cramer's 'Mad Money' Recap (Thursday 12/12/18) The stock market deserved to soar today, Jim Cramer told his Mad Money viewers Wednesday. And if the Chinese blink on trade, there may even be more good news ahead. Cramer said today's rally made perfect sense, as without a trade war, the markets deserve to be a lot higher. That's why the news that the Chinese might be softening their stance, came as such an unexpected surprise. The only problem? We don't know if the Chinese government will follow through. But for the meantime, Cramer said there are a number of winners from even a temporary cease fire in the trade wars. Apple ( AAPL ) , an Action Alerts PLUS holding, is one obvious winner, and the recent court-issued ban on certain iPhone sales in China would likely be reversed if relations thaw.
