For March 2024, 176 home units were sold, compared to 209 units sold in March 2023 according to the Champaign County Association of Realtors. Home sales were also down 4.5% for the first quarter of 2024, versus the number of sales for 2023. The median price for a home was raised nearly 10% to $192,500 compared to March of last year. The average price of a home additionally climbed 17%, from $207,042 to $242,445. Jobs, unemployment both up for March 2024 in major IL cities: IDES Inventory for homes has fallen 30% in two years. The inventory of homes for sale in the county stands at 635 properties as of April 21 of this year. On April 15, 2022, it stood at 825.
