A group of space and science organizations led by the Planetary Society has voiced its support for President Donald Trump 's pick to lead NASA. In a statement earlier in November on the Planetary Society's website, a coalition of nine organizations congratulated Jared Isaacman on once again being considered for NASA's top post Isaacman, a billionaire who has led two private ventures to space, was Trump's original pick for NASA administrator before the president back-tracked in May. Trump then renominated Isaacman for the position at the beginning of November. The Planetary Society, a nonprofit organization that advocates for space exploration, leads the coalition that recently hailed Isaacman for "his interest in accelerating the pace of science missions."
