Q1 sales recorded at $223.8M, beating market estimates by $7.69M, driven by volume gains of 30.6%. Freshpet ( FRPT ) also gave FY 2024 guidance, expects at least $950M, at least 24% jump from last year. Adjusted EBITDA expected at least $120M, more than previous range of $100M to $110M, capital expenditures of ~$210M, unchanged from the previous guidance. Stifel analyst Mark Astrachan wrote in a note, “We view 1Q24 as solid and reflective of ongoing share gains and management's focus on profitable growth,” he called annual sales guidance “conservative,” but “reflective of managing to capacity, and consistent with expectations for sequentially lower volumes through 2024.” He gave PT of $135.
