In a March 5 statement , Charlotte, North Carolina-based Six Flags announced it was selling seven of its 42 attractions to EPR Enterprises, a real estate trust based in Kansas City, Missouri, for $331 million. EPR also holds interests in theme parks and other hospitality attractions across the country and in Canada. Not on that list is Kings Dominion , which opens March 21 for its 51st season of operation and is located about 50 miles north of Petersburg in Doswell, Virginia.
