Six Flags Entertainment Corp. has agreed to sell seven parks, including Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston , for $331 million to the Kansas-based real estate investment trust EPR Properties as the company reshapes its portfolio. SIX FLAGS OPEN Six Flags Over Texas opens for the 2026 season Saturday. Here's what's new at the park. The announcement this week comes after multiple parks closed in recent years, and some remaining parks reported lower attendance. Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston is among the parks included in the sale. The park recently announced plans to hire 1,000 people for part-time and seasonal positions for the 2026 season. The seven parks included in the sale are: Valleyfair in Minneapolis, Minnesota Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri Michigan's Adventure near Grand Rapids, Michigan Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston in Galveston, Texas Six Flags St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York Six Flags La Ron
