In a March 5 statement , Charlotte, North Carolina-based Six Flags announced it was selling seven of its 42 attractions to EPR Enterprises, a real estate trust based in Kansas City, Missouri, for $331 million. EPR also holds interests in theme parks and other hospitality attractions across the country and in Canada. Not on that list is Kings Dominion , which opens March 21 for its 51st season of operation and is located about 50 miles north of Petersburg in Doswell, Virginia. The seven parks sold are Valleyfair in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Worlds of Fun in Kansas City; Michigan's Adventure in Grand Rapids; Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Galveston, Texas; Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri; Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York; and Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal, Canada. “Consistent with our strategy, this divestiture enables us to concentrate our capital, leadership and operational focus on the properties that we believe generate the strongest returns and offer the greatest lo
