TrumpRx launched Feb. 5 and it is not a place to buy prescription drugs, nor will it be very helpful to anyone whose insurance covers their prescription costs. Primarily, TrumpRx is for people who pay for their prescription drugs out-of-pocket, which would include people who lack health insurance. Democrats have called out TrumpRx for a number of reasons, including not mentioning generic drug options that could save consumers money and instead serving as an advertisement for brand-name drugs. The little that President Donald Trump said about health care during his focused on claims that he is bringing down costs, including the price of prescription drugs. Trump highlighted his platform, TrumpRx, which to bring lower drug prices to Americans, and gave himself credit for "ending the wildly inflated cost of prescription drugs."
