They were also without t heir starting quarterback, Dillon Gabriel The Browns announced Gabriel was being evaluated for a concussion . They did not immediately provide an update on his status as he remained in the protocol. It wasn't immediately clear when Gabriel had suffered the injury. The rookie completed 7 of 10 passes for 68 yards before exiting the game. Gabriel was replaced in the lineup by Cleveland's backup quarterback, Shedeur Sanders .
