GE Aerospace leaps after boosting profit forecast following historic split [Yahoo! Finance]

In its final report as a combined group, General Electric GE , which completed its historic split into three separate companies earlier this month, posted adjusted earnings of 82 cents a share, more than double the tally from the same period last year and well ahead of the Wall Street consensus estimate of 66 cents a share. Adjusted revenues rose 11% from last year to 16.1 billion, GE said, also topping analysts' estimate of a $15.35 billion tally. GE Aerospace, which now operates as a stand-alone business and inherits the GE ticker on the NYSE, saw revenue rise 15% to $8.1 billion, with operating profit up 24% to $1.5 billion. Ilya S.
